This Privacy Policy governs the collection and use of personal data on www.blissofenlightenment.com and through our retreat registration, communication, and booking processes. By using our website or registering for any programme, you agree to the terms described below. If you do not agree, please do not use our services and contact us with any questions before doing so.

- Physical health conditions or injuries relevant to yoga and meditation practice
- Emotional or psychological background shared voluntarily for retreat safety
- Ayurvedic dosha information provided during pre-retreat assessment

Health Information — Special Category Data
Health-related information is classified as sensitive personal data. It is collected only with your explicit written consent, used strictly for facilitating a safe retreat experience, shared only with the lead teacher and welfare team, and never disclosed to third parties without your permission. You may decline to provide health information, though this may limit our ability to safely accommodate your participation.

We never: Sell your personal data. Rent your data to any third party. Use your data for advertising profiling. Share your information with organisations not listed in this policy. Use health information for any purpose beyond direct retreat facilitation.

Under applicable data protection law — including India’s Personal Data Protection Bill (PDPB), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European participants, and equivalent frameworks — we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contractual Necessity:Processing required to fulfil the retreat agreement you enter into with us — booking confirmation, payment processing, retreat delivery, and post-retreat support.
- Explicit Consent:For sensitive categories such as health information, and for optional communications such as our newsletter or the sharing of your testimonial publicly. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
- Legitimate Interests:For website analytics, service improvement, and maintaining our records — where these interests do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.
- Legal Obligation:Where we are required to retain or disclose data by Indian law, tax regulations, or a valid court order.
For European Union & UK Participants (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, your data is processed in accordance with GDPR requirements. Photography, Video & Media
We occasionally photograph or film retreat sessions for use on our website, social media, and promotional materials. Your image is a form of personal data and we treat it with the same respect as all other information.
- We will always seek explicit, written consent before using any image in which you are identifiable.
- You may decline to be photographed or filmed — this will never affect your participation in any retreat programme in any way.
- Consent may be withdrawn after the retreat, in which case we will remove your image from our active materials within a reasonable timeframe.
- During Noble Silence and meditation sessions, photography by participants or staff is strictly prohibited. These spaces are unconditionally private.
- Any testimonials or quotes attributed to you will be shared only with your written confirmation of the specific text to be used.

Communication Preferences
We respect your inbox as much as we respect your silence. Here is how we manage our communication with you:
- Transactional communications(booking confirmations, pre-retreat information, payment receipts) are sent as part of our contractual obligation. These cannot be opted out of while a booking is active.
- Retreat notifications(upcoming batch announcements relevant to your past interest) are sent on a legitimate interest basis. You may object to these at any time.
- Newsletter and spiritual contentis sent only with your explicit opt-in consent. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email, or by writing to us directly.
- WhatsApp messagesare sent only in response to your own messages or for active booking matters. We do not send unsolicited WhatsApp promotions.
To update or remove any communication preference, email Blissofenlightenment@gmail.com or WhatsApp us directly. Changes are actioned within 5 working days.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or service offerings. All updates will be handled transparently and respectfully.
